Find The Right Class For Your Little Mover
Their first class is a big deal. We make sure it feels like a good one. For a young child, walking into a dance studio can be exciting, unfamiliar and maybe even a little intimidating. That's why our youngest classes aren't about getting every step right. They're about moving. Exploring, listening, laughing, and trying something new. Discovering little by little, just how much they can do.
Our instructors create an encouraging, age-appropriate environment where little dancers can build confidence at their own pace while developing coordination, rhythm, body awareness and important early movement skills. They think they're dancing and playing. You get to watch their confidence grow.
AGES 18m - 3yrs
Tiny Dancers
Grown up + Child
Saturdays 9:45-10:30 AM
Through songs, dancing and guided movement, children explore their creativity while working on coordination, balance and gross motor skills.
And because you're right there with them, they can experience the excitement of the studio while still having the comfort and security of their favorite person nearby.

Tiny Tumble

Thurdays 4:00-4:45 PM

Why our preschool classes use Dancely
Dancely is a licensed preschool dance curriculum built specifically for this age group, with original music and choreography written for it. Our Tiny Dancers and Dance Kids programs both run on it. Here's what that means for your child rather than for us.
They'll learn the days of the week without noticing
Dancely music carries a lesson inside it, kindness, cleaning up after yourself, recycling, the days of the week, even the solar system
Every silly game is doing a job
A three year old should be having fun, and they are. But the units are scaffolded so each builds on the last. The freeze game in October is quietly setting up the balance they'll need in February.
Four dance styles before kindergarten
Ballet, tap, jazz, and hip hop, all four across the year. By the time picking a class is a real decision, your child has already tried everything, and you're not choosing blind.
A Dance Studio Designed With Kids in Mind
Because who teaches your child matters.
At Creative Dance Workshop, we believe strong dance education can begin in an environment that is warm, encouraging and genuinely fun.
Our team is committed to age-appropriate movement and instruction while helping children develop confidence, independence and a positive relationship with dance. CDW's broader studio philosophy emphasizes excellence, community, integrity, kindness, trust and fun.
For our youngest students, that means creating a space where children can:
-
Feel welcomed
-
Learn at an age-appropriate pace
-
Be encouraged to try
-
Celebrate progress
-
Build friendships
-
And feel proud of what they're learning
Your child's first experience with dance can shape how they feel about it for years. We want that first experience to be a great one.

Questions Parents Ask
For Tiny Dancers and Tiny Tumble a grown up is recommended to be in the classroom. For Dance Kids, parents are encouraged to view the class through our lobby windows. For the first week or two, some children do better with a grown-up visible in the doorway. We'll work out together what yours needs, and there's no wrong answer.
Then they stand there and watch. That's how a lot of two and three year olds learn a room, and it isn't a sign the class isn't working. Most join in somewhere between week one and week four. Nobody is counting.
For a lot of families this is the first one, and that's completely normal at this age. Come a few minutes early so they can see the room before it fills up. Most of the settling happens in the first ten minutes, and it gets easier every week after that.
