Our Mini Team is for our tiniest additions to the CDW competition scene. This is a great way to explore more performance opportunities, structure and technique in a low-pressure, fun dance environment. Minis compete in 3-4 competitions yearly.
Age | 8-12 yrs
Juniors continue to work on developing and refining their technique in a highly supportive, age-appropriate environment where dancers are encouraged to grow, explore and improve showmanship and confidence on and off the stage. Dancers compete in 4 competitions each season.
Age | 13-18 yrs
Our Senior Team consists of experienced, talented, and dedicated individuals who love to perform and are always looking for opportunities to widen their knowledge and skill set in all dance genres. Seniors participate in 4 competitions a year, are invited to participate in additional conventions, shows and training. The Co-Directors, teachers and staff coach and assist team members with additional professional and pre-professional auditions, educational opportunities and events depending on the direction dancers wish to go following high school graduation- whether that is college, dancing professionally, or even teaching.
Our Elevate Team is a dedicated group of CDW students who have gone through a placement assessment to measure their technical abilities and performance skills. Once accepted, students are placed into leveled technique classes and dances based on ability and performance style so they can focus on preparing performances for competition. Elevate Team students display a strong work ethic and are dedicated to improving their dance technique and performance quality. All students on Elevate Team are required to take technique classes to build a strong foundation for all styles of
dance. Team members attend at least one convention per year as well as participating in all competitions and performances.
Placement auditions take place in the Spring. Members will be placed in their class levels and group numbers based on these auditions.
